Helping students of vibration

Helping students of vibration

through contributions to classic text.

With Safety, Reliability and Integrity now "top of mind" issues for industry, the study of the affects of noise and vibration has become an integral part of engineering courses at universities and colleges around the world.

Professor Michael Norton's and Dr Denis Karczub's Fundamentals of Noise and Vibration Analysis for Engineers (Cambridge University Press, 2003) is now regarded as a "classic" text and tool for students of these topics.

SVT is very proud of its contribution to the field, and to this publication in particular, which is highlighted in this tribute from the authors:

"This book would not have eventuated had it not been for several people who have played an important role at various stages in our careers to date...acknowledgements are due to several of our colleagues and the first author's postgraduate students at the University of Western Australia. These include Graham Forrester, Paul Keswick, Melinda Hodkiewicz, Pan Jie, Simon Drew and Gert Hoefakker."

Graham Forrester and Dr Paul Keswick are Directors of SVT Engineering Consultants. Dr Simon Drew is a Principal Engineer in SVT's Integrity Engineering group.
