Tough Problem: The prediction of the noise contribution of all sources in a piping system is a difficult task, but one critical to the design program of piping control manufacturers.

Practical Solution: SVT, in partnership with Fisher, used its specialist capability in the field of Acoustics Induced Vibration (AIV) to help develop new piping system noise prediction capability.

The objective of the research was to provide noise predictions that take into account the contributions of all piping noise sources, including: control valves, orifice plates, diffusers, swages and tees.
